Roger R. Billings, Attorney

In advising and serving the needs of his clients in the areas of estate planning, trust administration and business planning, Roger Billings draws on over 17 years of experience in business and commercial law.

Mr. Billings has extensive experience in estate planning and advising corporations and trusts. He has served his clients as to a broad range of estate planning and business planning needs, including: creating and amending Living or Revocable Trusts; drawing up wills; probating estates; advising Family Limited Partnerships and LLC's; creating Charitable Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (or ILIT's), and Private Foundations; administering trusts; terminating irrevocable trusts; and forming corporations and LLCs. Mr. Billings has frequently lectured throughout Northern California on estate planning topics. For example, in June 2006, he spoke at National Business Institute’s continuing education seminar entitled: “Drafting Effective Wills and Trusts.”


Prior to opening the Law Office of Roger Billings in 2004, Mr. Billings practiced with the Sacramento law firms of Lewis & Bacon and Hansen, Boyd, Culhane & Watson. Prior to relocating to Sacramento, Mr. Billings practiced in Los Angeles at the firm of Lewis D'Amato Brisbois & Bisgaard.

Mr. Billings obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York City, and he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Throughout his career, Mr. Billings has been committed to community involvement.  He has coached numerous youth soccer teams, and has supported the Boy Scouts of America in various capacities, including Scoutmaster, Unit Commissioner, and on the Golden Empire Council Endowment Committee. He is a member of the following: the Roseville Chamber of Commerce; the Roseville Rotary Club; the Real Property, Probate and Trust section of the American Bar Association; the Estate Planning sections of the California Bar and the Sacramento Bar Association; and the Placer County Bar Association. He is a member of the Board of the Sacramento J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

Having traveled widely, Mr. Billings speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French. He resides in Placer County with his wife and four children.
